Unia is the largest organisation for workers without Swiss citizenship. Unia campaigns for equal opportunities, rights of participation and residence security for its non-Swiss members - at the political level, in the working world and in society in general.
Legislation
Special rules apply to non-Swiss employees in some industries. Legislation governing employment, residence rightsand social security may vary from canton to canton. Further education
More than 50% of Unia members do not have a Swiss passport. Unia offers its migrant members language courses and further education courses tailored to their individual needs.
